SUMMARY:Buy Now Pay Later: Creative Ways to Pay
DESCRIPTION:Buy Now\, Pay Later (BNPL) services have rapidly grown in popularity—nearly one in four Americans reported using one in the past year\, according to a July study from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). The study also found that BNPL users are more likely to engage in other costly financial behaviors\, such as carrying credit card balances\, exceeding credit limits\, or overdrawing checking accounts.  \nIn this timely webinar\, Dr. Allen Cox\, education consultant with the Maryland Council on Economic Education\, will explore how teachers can help students understand the benefits and risks of BNPL services. Participants will gain strategies and classroom-ready resources to guide students in making informed financial choices.  \nThis session is eligible for one professional development point. To maximize engagement\, please plan to join with both audio and video.
