SUMMARY:CEE: Invest Now\, Thank Yourself Later
DESCRIPTION:This interactive two‑hour session gives educators a complete\, ready‑to‑teach lesson on investing\, real estate\, and wealth building for grades 6–12. You’ll move through the lesson as students do — comparing different investment options\, busting common money myths\, running compound‑interest calculations\, and making portfolio choices in a simulated market. Then we’ll step back to unpack the teaching moves\, differentiation strategies\, and real‑world connections that make the lesson work. Three reasons to attend 1) Teacher confidence: Walk away knowing exactly how to teach investing and real estate\, with a complete\, standards‑aligned lesson and the confidence to use it. 2) Make investing accessible: Learn culturally responsive strategies that connect wealth‑building concepts to students’ real lives\, especially those from communities historically excluded from financial markets. 3) Bring the market to life: Experience an interactive simulation that demystifies investing for students who think “the market” isn’t for them. \n\nTeachers will be able to:\n\nImplement student-centered investment simulations and compound interest activities aligned to national personal finance standards.\nFacilitate discussions that connect students’ cultural and community contexts to wealth-building concepts.\nAdapt lesson materials for grades 6–12 across varying levels of financial literacy prior knowledge.
