The Maryland Financial and Economic Educator Summit, hosted annually by the Maryland Council on Economic Education (MCEE), is a statewide professional development conference for K-12 educators focused on improving classroom instruction of personal finance and economics. During this full day program, educators from K-12 schools across Maryland, have the opportunity to choose from among 20 different professional development sessions. Attendees receive free classroom resources, access to the latest innovations in teaching economic and personal finance concepts, and the opportunity to connect with other educators.


The 2024 Summit will include:

  • Targeted sessions with tracks for elementary and secondary educators
  • Innovative ways to teach core personal finance concepts and decision making including credit, insurance, and more
  • Concentrated sessions focused on understanding and teaching economics and global citizenship
  • Exhibit hall

Who Should Attend?

  • Elementary, Middle and High School Teachers and Administrators
  • Teachers from Public, Private, and Homeschool Communities
  • Teachers of Social Studies, Math, Gifted and Talented, Personal Finance, Business Courses, ROTC, Family and Consumer Sciences and more!
  • Teachers Interested in Networking with Other Teachers and Learning Best Practices
