Join the Maryland Council on Economic Education for a one-hour advanced professional development webinar designed for educators who already use the Stock Market Game and want to deepen student understanding of long-term investing.
This session will focus on strategies for teaching students how to think beyond short-term trading and explore long-term investment approaches using the Stock Market Game platform. Participants will examine instructional techniques that reinforce core concepts such as portfolio diversification, risk and return, compounding, and the importance of time horizons in building wealth.
The webinar will be led by Dr. Allen Cox, MCEE Education Consultant, who will share classroom-tested strategies, practical examples, and tips for aligning long-term investing lessons with financial literacy and economics standards.
