What Teachers Need to Know About FAFSA and Student Loans

This webinar is designed for personal finance teachers, school counselors, and career counselors who already cover FAFSA and student loans and want to stay current with the latest developments. The session will focus on changes for the 2025–2026 application cycle and beyond, including updates to the FAFSA process, key shifts in eligibility and aid calculations, and important revisions to student loan programs and repayment options. Participants will leave with practical knowledge and resources to clearly explain these updates to their students, helping them better navigate the evolving landscape of financial aid and borrowing for college. The webinar will be presented by Dave Horne, Director of the Financial Aid Office, and Crystal Simmons, Deputy Director of Financial Aid, Towson University.

This session is eligible for one professional development point, and to get the most out of the experience, please plan to participate with audio and video.
