Virtual Event for Stock Market Game Teachers
presented by MCEE & VCEE
Join award-winning educator Kim Holder, Managing Director of the Center for Economic Education and the Center for Reflective Citizenry at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and her co-author Lorenzo Almada for an engaging one-hour webinar designed for teachers who use the Stock Market Game.
Building on their Social Education article, “Catching the Magnificent Seven: Investment Trends and Economics Lessons,” Kim and Lorenzo will share ideas and classroom strategies for comparing student portfolios with the “Magnificent Seven” stocks—Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet, Meta, Tesla, and Nvidia. Participants will discover ways to use these market leaders as benchmarks to help students explore diversification, risk management, and long-term investing principles.
This session will provide ready-to-use classroom activities, discussion prompts, and real-world connections that reinforce sound investing practices and strengthen financial literacy learning through the Stock Market Game.
This session is eligible for one professional development point, and to get the most out of the experience, please plan to participate with audio and video.
